Education & Experience

I am a licensed clinical social worker in California (LCS 18137 – since November 1, 1996).  I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, Graduate School of Social Work, New Brunswick, NJ.  I have completed clinical internships in outpatient therapy at Jewish Family Services in Edison NJ, and psychiatric social work internship at Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro NJ

After graduate school, I applied my clinical skill working at the Gateway Enterprise Mental Health Day Tx Program in Amsterdam, NY before moving to San Francisco in the early 90s.  After over two decades in Social Service Management at Golden Gate Regional Center (Serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families), I returned to my true passion, doing clinical work.

I Joined UCSF Dept. of Psychiatry, were I hold a position as Clinical Supervisor in the Dept. of Substance Abuse and Addiction Medicine, providing therapeutic services to a population of individuals with severe substance use disorder and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.  I concurrently work as a staff therapist at the Liberation Institute, an affiliate of the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS).  Time for Change is culmination of my passion for clinical work, offering psychotherapy services for a select group of individuals who are want to make positive changes in life.  I am grateful to be able to provide clients with the time and attention needed to pursue their goals.
